How the peaks are built

  1. 1. Live PGD commercial board (Allegiant / Sun Country) plus ADS-B positions.
  2. 2. Departing guests follow PGD’s 2-hour arrival guidance — curb peaks ~2 hours before push, security ~100 minutes prior.
  3. 3. Arrivals hit bag claim ~15–30 minutes after on-block, then the mixed commercial curb.
  4. 4. Curbside over capacity is 3,420 pax/hr from 650 ft of face stacked in two loading lanes with a third travel lane, local auto/TNC mix, no commercial vehicles.
  5. 5. Terminal over capacity is 1,500 pax/hr. Checkpoint is 150 pax/hr per lane, five lanes max (750 pax/hr).
  6. 6. METAR/TAF and FAA status add delay minutes; late inbounds protect a 48-minute turn before the outbound moves.
  7. 7. Lightning within 5 miles stops all ground handling until 10 minutes after the last strike. The live clock uses SPECI begin/end times (TSB/TSE), on-field program emails, and electrified NEXRAD cells inside 5 miles — TAF thunderstorms do not stretch that all-clear. Positions are fused from nearby METARs, USGS / Earth Networks, PIREPs, IEM storm reports, NWS alerts, IEM SPS, AWC convective SIGMETs, and radar. Radar cells farther out supply storm motion only. Lightning within 10 miles moving toward the field posts an estimated close — that time is an estimate.
  8. 8. Forward the on-field lightning program (Thor Guard, Earth Networks, Strike Guard) to the staff inbox on this board. Those emails are private to airport workers and close the ramp on a 5-mile hold until an all-clear arrives. Paste the alert or POST it if the program cannot email.
  9. 9. Upload a workforce Excel roster to score curb, terminal, checkpoint, ramp, and Air Center against those peaks.

Live board was unavailable; typical Allegiant banks for this weekday are modeled with current weather delay risk.

Staffing shortfalls

Upload a roster or hourly coverage sheet. Bailey Terminal Flow maps people onto curb, terminal, checkpoint, ramp, and Air Center and scores them against live demand.

No roster yet

Load the sample to see a typical PGD day with a thin afternoon ramp and checkpoint, or upload your own sheet. Ratios: 2 officers per security lane, 1 curb agent / 180 pax/hr, 1 terminal agent / 150 pax/hr, 4 handlers per airline turn, 1 Air Center line tech / 3 itinerant or 6 local ops. Lightning inside 5 miles zeros ramp demand — those crews are idle, not short.

How the apron peaks are built

  1. 1. Live PGD GA board plus ADS-B within 12 nm of the field.
  2. 2. Local = pattern, based, Flight Training Tropic, CAP, and Arcadia / Shell Creek hops.
  3. 3. Itinerant = visiting aircraft and jets — they occupy the FBO ramp for fuel and parking.
  4. 4. About 45% of local ops touch the Air Center (fuel / line); the rest stay in T-hangars or the pattern.
  5. 5. Thunderstorms suppress local training until 20 minutes after the TAF window; itinerant get the same delay minutes as airline turns.

Typical weekday local training banks and itinerant mix, shifted around the current TAF storm window.
